WHOIS Lookup
Find out who owns a domain, when it expires and which registrar holds it — including .ng domains through the NIRA registry.
What WHOIS is good for
Before you buy a domain from anyone — a broker, a competitor, a cold email — WHOIS tells you who actually holds it and when it expires. For business owners it's equally useful in reverse: checking your own domains so a lapsed renewal doesn't take your email and website down on a Friday night. Registrars also appear here, which matters when a transfer needs an authorisation code from the current holder.
The tool queries the registry for the domain's TLD directly — including .ng, .com.ng and other Nigerian extensions through the .ng registry — and follows the registrar referral when a registry only publishes a thin record. Many registrars offer WHOIS privacy, in which case personal details are redacted but the registrar, dates and status remain visible. Want a .ng of your own? Register one here in minutes.
