What is TLD?
Top-level domain — the ending of a name such as .com, .ng, .com.ng or .shop.
The TLD (top-level domain) is the last part of a domain name: .com, .org, .ng, .com.ng and hundreds more. National endings like .ng and .com.ng are run by NiRA, the Nigerian Internet Registration Association, and signal a local presence — useful for trust and for local search. TLDs differ in price and renewal cost, and some have registration rules, so it is worth checking the pricing table before you commit. Your choice of TLD does not affect your hosting plan; any TLD can point at any host.
