What is IMAP vs POP3?
Two ways to fetch mail: IMAP keeps everything synced on the server, POP3 downloads and deletes.
IMAP and POP3 are the two protocols your phone or computer uses to read mail. IMAP leaves messages on the server and syncs read/unread and folders across every device — it is the right choice for anyone reading mail on more than one device. POP3 downloads messages to one device and (usually) deletes them from the server, which is legacy behaviour best avoided today. All our cPanel mail accounts support IMAP, and the settings are in your welcome email.
