What is TXT record?
A DNS record holding free-form text, used for domain verification and anti-spam policies like SPF and DKIM.
A TXT record stores text data in your DNS zone. Mail providers and services use it to verify that you own a domain, and email-security policies such as SPF and DKIM are published as TXT records so receiving servers can tell genuine mail from spoofed mail. When Google, Microsoft or Meta asks you to 'add a TXT record to verify your domain', this is the record they mean.
